I can open many formats such as: ai, psd, eps, svg, eps without losing valuable design objects. Creating 2D animations easily with export potential in Flash and GIF. It has very basic tools, but they are large enough to create professional design ideas with nothing to envy of other programs. I love the workspace very clean compared to other design programs like Adobe that are very saturated. This program I can say so many things that I like that would not end. I’d like to offer a product training with the Xara team to ensure you discover the full potential of the Xara’s products. In the case of Xara Cloud’s Pro+ package which includes the desktop app Xara Designer, after the 14 day trial you can choose between a monthly and yearly option. Editing your files is always possible with Xara, a user is never locked out from doing so no matter what version is in place, and you constantly have full access to your projects, being stored locally on your computer or in the cloud. We do our best to make Xara files cross-compatible with all Xara products and with the previous desktop version. Opening of any file is a user-triggered action and Xara does not access or open any files automatically. Our products do allow users to save files to cloud storage providers (Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive) and these providers do have specific access requirements that any vendors must follow. I believe this review is for Xara Designer Pro, rather than Xara Cloud.

Overall, an awful and frustrating experience. After I asked for escalation, the reply was to tell me "it had been escalated to the CEO". Customer supports response when I complained was to send the same email several times. The cross device support was limited to a very broken and inconsistent browser based experience.Įven if the product hasn't been used, the company insists on a 12 month non-refundable commitments. Upgrades and updates from older desktop versions are confusing. It was difficult to find information to help with migration in and out of the toolset. The lock-in was also unhelpful it's not possible to edit your files if you downgrade to older desktop only versions. This meant giving tha system access to your entire Dropbox service. For example, saving files to Dropbox was limited to saving to the root directory of your Dropbox directory. The product was basic and, the Cloud "add ons" were clumsy.
